Simple cable or tentacle maker

A while back I posted a quick and dirty tutorial for tentacles, and well I didn't need tentacles at the time and it was to say the least basic if not crap so here is the real deal so to speak.

Materials
Perspex sheet
I used 1 @ 6x7 cm.1 @ 5x7 cm. 1 @ 2x7cm.
Data cable the multi core strip stuff at whatever size you can get.
A Hot glue gun.(I'm into hot glue at the moment! )
Cut & clean your Perspex to size and cut down the data cable to the right size strips

Make a 90 degree angle with your larger base plate and thin strips of perpex

Glue your strips of cable to the base plate smoothing and cleaning any excess glue off

Repeat for the top plate making sure both plates and cables align. Then trim off any excess cable

Roll a sausage of greenstuff (stunt plastercine used in this move!)

Roll the two plates together using the side as a roller guide and you should get something like this

I'll try and get a better picture up ASAP but I hope you can see how clear the ridging is.

Next cable to be used

Warhound Update

A little update on how the Warhound build is going as I'm holding off on doing any more on the Knight until I get the weapon option I'm after.

Post Holiday Post

After a weeks holiday in Saundersfoot I didn't get the chance to do much on either of the models I was thinking about making. The weather was milder than expected and the company, food and ale where all up to the normal excellent standards.
So all I managed to do was a foot for my Warhound.

Aquila with battle damage

All ready to go on the base

Knight Titan's Base

The original idea for the knights base was a few ruined pillars and a crypt but spending £25-50 on hirst arts moulds for 1 base seemed a little extreme. So instead I've gone for a more classical Aquila.

Knight Titan Hands

The arms now look really short with hands on the ends and I don't know how the mounted weaponry will look. May have to extend the arms a little?

Knight Titan

After reading various bits and pieces online I have a problem going counts as Dreadknight. And that's hands, or Nemesis Doomfists to be correct.
I have built two elbow mounted gun pods that are way too big for wrist mounted units.
So have had a go at greenstuff hands
Not sure, really not sure

Mechanicus Coteaz?

A very quick Coteaz mock-up kind of inspired by Davros?
and a few alternative heads.

So why ADD Mech you ask?

My initial hope was to be able to field a Knight along side my slowly growing Black Templars, but as the rules rumours didn't quiet pan out as i wanted i needed another way of adding my growing baby, so what to do?
The obvious answer is a Dread-knight, and with the new Allies rules in 40k i can do this, but i didn't want   the now ever present Grey Knight spam so the alternative was an Inquisitorial army which needs Coteaz to allow henchmen as troops. Now the idea of a Mechanicus army is great, and it helps that its also the book I'm on in the Heresy series. But as this is to add to my Templars and not take over from them they are my ADD Mech army. OK not big and not clever.
