Simple cable or tentacle maker

A while back I posted a quick and dirty tutorial for tentacles, and well I didn't need tentacles at the time and it was to say the least basic if not crap so here is the real deal so to speak.

Materials
Perspex sheet
I used 1 @ 6x7 cm.1 @ 5x7 cm. 1 @ 2x7cm.
Data cable the multi core strip stuff at whatever size you can get.
A Hot glue gun.(I'm into hot glue at the moment! )
Cut & clean your Perspex to size and cut down the data cable to the right size strips

Make a 90 degree angle with your larger base plate and thin strips of perpex

Glue your strips of cable to the base plate smoothing and cleaning any excess glue off

Repeat for the top plate making sure both plates and cables align. Then trim off any excess cable

Roll a sausage of greenstuff (stunt plastercine used in this move!)

Roll the two plates together using the side as a roller guide and you should get something like this

I'll try and get a better picture up ASAP but I hope you can see how clear the ridging is.

Next cable to be used
